About This Non-Book

Germany’s Pfadfinderei (in English, "the Scouts") is a graphic design studio that doubles as one of the world’s most popular groups of VJs. For this original DVD production, Pfadfinderei collaborates with Modeselektor to combine their innovative visuals with the Berlin duo’s signature fragments of “sound dust” based on slightly accelerated Hip-Hop beats. As an added bonus, the talented musician Timtim adds his own acoustic-electro flavor to the mix.

More About This Non-Book

VJing, the art of mixing images in real time, is becoming more and more popular around the world. Today’s VJs often work side by side with musicians using digital cameras and laptops coupled with 2D, 3D, animation and video software to create spectacular visual presentations. As VJs swarm club stages for live, real-time performances and improvised sets, the DVD is adding yet another dimension to the field, allowing artists to create in-studio performances for a broader audience.

Founded in July 2003, the French label Dalbin was created to promote the collaboration between visual artists and musicians. dgv is proud to release its first DVD, which is suitable for creating atmosphere at home or in a party setting. The title features an original 60-minute visual-musical composition recorded in real-time, which is accompanied by bonus tracks and includes a 16-page booklet.
